Town U21s got back to winning ways as goals from Tudor Mendel and Tommy Taylor secured a 2-1 victory over Colchester United on Friday evening. 

The young Blues opened the scoring through Mendel in the first half, his shot firing past Frankie Beckles 14 minutes in. 

The U's got the equaliser just after the hour mark. Ollie Godziemski latched onto a backpass before having his shot saved but, unfortunately for Town, Hakeem Sandah followed up on the rebound to level things up. 

Town got the winner through Taylor as his shot from a narrow angle nestled in past Beckles.

The young Blues are back in action when they face Wigan Athletic at home on 1 April.
